The Mermaids - Syncronized Swimming |
USG Syncro |
Below is some examples of shows that we have been performing during the last years. If you are interested in a show, you are always welcome to contact us. |
In 2009 we made a EXPO video in collaboration with BACON. We swam synchronized swimming in Slusholmen (Copenhagen Harbour area) one evening in August 2009. We had nice sequin costumes on - the 7 USG swimmers each had its own color swimmingsuit. Through the steam that was sent out from a sailing dinghy, we tried to live ourselves into the role of Nordic mythical creatures. The recordings are part of the video, a description of Denmark - which is displayed at the Danish Pavilion on EXPO 2010. |
Phase One made an advertising where we made a characteristic figure on the number ”1” in Østerbro pool. Phase One's knowledgeable staff and the photographer took the photos while they balanced around 10 m seesaw. Whole USG team helped to constitute a one-figure. |
We have been making a lot of other shows and we have also made training secions for people who have never tried soncronized swimming before. |
We were invited to be part of a larger private event-where the theme was the beach and summer. Our outfit was inspired by the film star Esther Williams who is known for her water shows - she is probably the person who has helped most in making synkronized swimming public know. The 5 swimmers, Nina, Nynne, Katherine, Birgitte and Mette practiced variations of surface patterns in the pool. |
Invited by Copenhagen Mermaids, 3 of USG’s bedst swimmers (Ida Katrine, Gry, Nynne and Mette) attendede the opening cermony of the Out Games 2009 in Copenhagen harbor. Irene Marcoux was in charge of the overall choreography. It was a record attempt to get as many syncro swimmers as as possible to swim the same choreography. There were no record, but it was very festive with many who tried. |
